Qualified Life Events

You have 30 days from the date of the Life Event to make changes to your benefits. If you do not make updates within the 30-day enrollment period, you will have to wait until the annual Open Enrollment period to make changes. There are no exceptions.

Types of Qualified Life Events:

• Marriage, Divorce, or legal separation
• Death of your spouse, or dependent child
• Birth, Adoption of or placement for adoption of your child
• Change in employment status of associate, spouse or dependent child
• Qualification by the Plan Administrator of a child support order for medical coverage
• Entitlement to Medicare or Medicaid
